Students study coordinate grids

SPRINGBORO — Some fourth-graders at Dennis West Elementary School have been studying coordinate grids and ordered pairs in class and wanted to practice on a life-like grid that they could actually walk on.

The coordinate grid was made on the floor with tape, and the students were given index cards with ordered pairs written on them. They had to walk on the grid and stand at the correct point, indicated on their card.

Students were also directed to walk to certain shapes on the floor and then state the ordered pair for that shape.
