Summer program seeking participants

City Beets is accepting applications until Monday, March 3 for their upcoming summer program.

The program is looking for teens ages 12 to 15 who enjoy the outdoors, are interested in gardening or business, are available for all sessions, and want a fun summer experience. Participants will receive $100 in gift cards at the end of the program, and youth managers will receive $200 in gift cards. Twenty positions are available this year and accepted applicants will train through May.

City Beets is a summer program for children to grow vegetables at the Community Garden at Possum Creek MetroPark Farm, learn leadership skills, sell food at the 2nd Street Market, volunteer with local organizations and many other activities.
