Police have not yet said what traffic violation they attempted to stop the driver for around 11:30 a.m.
Officers were seen searching along Patterson shortly after the man stopped his vehicle.
It’s unclear what type of drugs police suspect he threw out of the car during the incident.
The name of the suspect was not immediately available.
