Suspected theft from Piqua Walmart leads to drug bust

A man allegedly attempting to steal a television to trade for drugs led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in the Piqua Walmart parking lot, according to Piqua police.

Rusty Shannon, 56, of Lockington, was reportedly sitting in his vehicle while another man Alex Shinall, 24, allegedly went in to the Walmart, 1300 East Ash Street, to attempt to steal a television around 8 p.m. Monday, the police report read.
