The owner of one of the  Oregon District swankiest restaurants says she is tired of not cooking.

Margot Blondet, owner and executive chef of Salar Restaurant and Lounge, said she will reopen her restaurant for carryout on Mother's Day on May 10, and then for regular carryout hours a few days later, on May 14.

“We decided to do something special for our customers, and also we will be reopening Thursday (May 14) with a new ‘to-go’ menu, including family meals for two or four people, and people’s favorite cocktails,” Blondet said.

The restaurant is accepting Mother’s Day orders for pickup between noon and 6 p.m.  Sunday. Call 937-321-4384 to place an order.

The Mother’s Day brunch  menu includes family-style options that feed two, four or up to six people and costs $50, $95 or $105, depending on dish and size.

Options include pork tenderloin, Faroe Island Salmon and Angus Beef tenderloin.

Beef or vegetarian empanadas, chicken chichorrones or Chocolate Shade, a flourless cake, can be added on to Mother’s Day brunch orders.

The restaurant will also sell wine, Salar Raspberry Mimosas, Begonia Sangria and an assortment of cocktail-party-style drinks, such as smoked margarita, Violet and Lavender, Hickory Torch and Pineapple Raspberry Daiquiri.

When Salar reopens for carryout May 14, its hours will be noon to 8 p.m.
