3 things to know about the coming cool stretch for the Miami Valley

After a rainy Monday morning, the Dayton area is set to experience a stretch of cooler weather.

Here are three things to know:

» TODAY’S WEATHER: Severe T-Storm Warning issued for some counties

1. Gusty winds will hang around today. After an active morning, showers and storms will move off to the east but wind gusts could reach 30 mph. Temperatures could reach around 70 before a change this week.

2. Cooler temperatures are coming. Beginning Tuesday, conditions will be cooler than normal for this time of year with highs in the low 60s. Lows should dip into the lower 40s for cooler evenings.

3. Rain will be part of our week. Showers and storms are expected to return by Thursday, with potentially heavy rain that day and scattered showers on Friday. Temperatures will stay cool.
