Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of Enon’s annual Apple Butter Festival, which will take place on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Settler’s Park in Enon. The event is sponsored by sponsored by the Enon Community Historical Society.

Attendees will be able to sample plenty of fall favorites — including the festival’s namesake apple butter cooked in copper kettles on site — as well as enjoy live music, and vendors selling both food and other merchandise for the season. No pets are allowed on the festival grounds.
The event is free and open to the public.
2. Fall Fest at Snyder Park
Gear up for some family fun at Fall Fest 2017 at Snyder Park in Springfield this weekend.
The event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, will feature lots of activities and fun, including free hayrides, free pumpkin painting (while supplies last) and pumpkin bowling.

Children who attend will also be able to preview the new Kiwanis Children’s Garden and play on some of the features. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
3. Black Violin
Come spend the night enjoying the hip-hop violin stylings of the music duo Black Violin at the Kuss Auditorium at the Clark State Performing Arts Center in Springfield, their second stop in Springfield after a well-received show last season.
The performance is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. The duo, which has been active for over a decade, have performed around the world, and have also played for President Barack Obama during his presidency.
