Township welcomes new police officers

Butler Township swore in two new police officers during their May 22 Board of Trustees meeting. Chief of Police John Porter administered the oath of office to officers Tim Maples and Gary Jackson.

Maples comes from the Brookville Police Department. Jackson retired as a sergeant from the Vandalia Police Department and will serve as an auxiliary officer.
