A CME or Coronal Mass Ejection was recorded Monday and is expected to arrive Wednesday night. This explosion from the sun's corona can interact with our magnetosphere and possibly enhance the Auroras enough to be seen in northern Ohio and Indiana.
The Miami Valley would be on the fringe of seeing the spectacle but a northern location with a good view of the horizon and without city lights might be worth visiting. If you can't see them, expect some photos from places like Michigan on Thursday.
Besides the Northern Lights, the nearly full "corn" moon will be out and bright pretty much all night long.
Finally, an early morning treat anytime the clouds break is the planet Venus. Check it out before sunrise in the eastern sky. If you can catch a picture of anything interesting in the sky share it using the hashtag #SkyWitness7!
