DP&L warns customers of area phone scam

Scammers have been calling DP&L customers in the Englewood area threatening to shut off their service if immediate payment is not made.

Anyone who receives a call from a 1-800 phone number posing as their utility provider are advised to not pay any money over the phone, said Director of Communications for DP&L Mary Ann Kabel.

Do not call the phone number back, said Kabel.
