Warrant issued for man accused of pouring hot cooking oil on girlfriend

Police are looking for a man who is accused of pouring hot cooking oil onto his girlfriend, causing severe burns.

Alfred Lee Hodge, 58, of Clayton is wanted after he was indicted on charges of felonious assault and domestic violence, according to court records.

Hodge is accused of pouring hot cooking oil on Nov. 8 on his girlfriend while she was sleeping in their Clayton apartment, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where she spent nearly three weeks receiving treatment for second- and third-degree burns, according to investigators.

Hodge stands 5 feet, 11 inches, weighs 230 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He could be driving his red 2007 Ford Fusion car with Ohio license plate FGP 1097.

He had been working as a caregiver and home healthcare worker at the time of the alleged incident, police said.
