The City of Springboro Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a work session on Monday at 6 p.m. to review the site plan for Dayton Children’s hospital’s expansion at 3333 West Tech Blvd.
The hospital is planning a $47.5 million multi-year expansion in Springboro. Plans include a 70,000-square-foot medical office building and a 16-room emergency department at its 11-acre campus.

Mason City Council is seeking applications from individuals who wish to be considered for a vacant position on council. Council Member Rich Cox resigned, effective Aug. 10. The appointee will fill the seat the term expires on Nov. 30, 2017.

Utility Work requires road closure
Neil Tunison, the Warren County Engineer, announced that starting Monday, the west leg of Fields-Ertel Road at the intersection of Fields-Ertel Road and Columbia/Lebanon Road intersection will be closed during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for utility work for five weeks, weather permitting. The project limits will begin at Columbia Road and reach 3,000 feet west. Local residents will have access to their driveways.
The road work affects both Deerfield and Symmes townships, according to Warren County spokeswoman Savannah Shafer.
This utility work, being completed by the contractors G.M. Pipeline and KS Energy, is being done in preparation for safety improvements which include the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Fields-Ertel Road and Columbia/Lebanon Road. This is Phase 3 of a four-phase utility relocation project.
The detour will be Fields Ertel Road to Montgomery Road (U.S. 22/Ohio 3) to Columbia Road.
The Warren County Engineer’s Office encourages drivers to stay alert and take your time when on the road.
