A broken water main has forced the shut down of a section of Springboro Pike (state Route 741) from Miami Village to Innovation drives in Miami Twp. until further notice.
Miami Twp. police are saying that the middle two lanes will be blocked, and that two lanes to the north and south will remain open to traffic.
Water is bubbling all over 741 from the busted pipe, which is across from the Austin Park Apartments, 9600 Summit Point Drive.
The trouble was reported about 6:22 p.m. Tuesday. The road remained closed early Wednesday.
Police cruisers have blocked the section of road. No word on when a repair crew will make an appearance.
If you want to avoid slowed traffic and need to head north on 741, take Austin Boulevard to Miami Village Drive.
If you want to avoid slowed traffic and need to head south on 741, take Miami Village Drive to Austin Boulevard.
We will update this developing report as warranted.
