Free fishing for Fairfield seniors
FAIRFIELD — Free fishing is available for Fairfield residents who are seniors, age 55 and older, and people with disabilities each Wednesday at Marsh Lake. Proof of age is required.
Nominations open for hall of fame
COLUMBUS — The State Department of Aging is accepting nominations for the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame. The hall honors Ohioans age 60 and older for extraordinary achievements and contributions. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to nominate neighbor,s colleagues, family members or friends. Nominees must be age 60 or older and be native Ohioans or a residents for at least 10 years. Prime club closed during vacation Bible school week
HAMILTON — The prime club temporarily located at Grace United Methodist Church on Main Street will be closed Monday to Friday, July 6-10, while vacation Bible school activities are held. Seniors club slates state fair outing
MIDDLETOWN — A trip to the Ohio State Fair is being planned for Tuesday, Aug. 4, by Middletown Area Senior Citizens Inc. Participants will departfrom the former Dillard’s parking lot at 9 a.m. and return by 6 p.m. The cost is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers. Registration is required by Monday, July 6.
