With the forecast calling for 10 inches of snow in some spots and some ice mixing in, DP&L is concerned about the possibility of power outages across its service area, the spokesperson said.
The power provider is urging customers to have a storm kit ready in the event power is lost to their homes.
A storm kit should contain the following items:
- Battery operated radio
- Bottled water
- Non-perishable foods
- Blankets
- Flashlights with batteries
- Extra batteries
- Coats, hats and gloves
