Whaley joins anti-school bullying effort

Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley has joined the Mayors’ Campaign to End Bullying – an effort to raise awareness, foster safe school climates, and work with experts from The BULLY Project to create customized responses to bullying in local school districts.

The effort is a partnership with The US Conference of Mayors and The BULLY Project, with more than 170 mayors signed on, including the mayors of Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and Akron.

Dayton and the other cities can access a team of education specialists at the University of Illinois for advice and research on anti-bullying programs. JEREMY P. KELLEY
