WHIO Radio Hosts 24 Hour Broadcast to Fight Alzheimer’s

AM 1290 and News 95.7 WHIO will be hosting a special 24-hour broadcast on Friday, as they work to raise funds to fight, and awareness of, Alzheimer’s. The majority of the day will include a LIVE broadcast from the Miami Valley Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. People are welcome to come out to the location at 31 Whipp Road that day, and to listen all day for LIVE coverage from AM 1290 and News 95.7 WHIO.

As part of the broadcast day, WHIO’s Larry Hansgen will be hosting Miami Valley’s Morning News LIVE from the local chapter, from 5 am to 9 am. “Alzheimer’s is one of the most frightening words one can ever hear,” says Hansgen. “I have seen this disease rob people near to me of their memories, their dignity, and eventually their life. But as scary as Alzheimer’s is, I have been inspired by the work I see being done by the local chapter in supporting patients and their caregivers.”
