Karen Saum pleaded not guilty to theft charges.
Detectives said a tip led them to the stolen semen inside her garage.According to police, the bull sperm was from Saum's former employer, Genetic Connection.
Det. James Hollopeter said, "She knew where this semen would have been located. It was actually locked in an interior closet because it was more valuable that some of the other that they had out."
Investigators said Saum planned to return the stolen semen to the owner of the bull in exchange for help to start a business of her own.
