WPAFB Tuesday Weather: Flash flood watch remains in effect

A soggy start to the day is expected with showers and possibly a few thunderstorms. The severe threat in the morning is more focused on the heavy rain threat. Flooding will be a concern, which includes ponding on the roads and lower visibility. Make sure to leave extra time and space between you and the vehicle in front of you during your Tuesday morning commute. With flooding being a high concern, a flash flood watch is in effect  through noon. The chance for showers and possibly a few thunderstorms continues through lunch. It looks like we will get a break in the rain during the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures climb into the middle to upper 60s in the afternoon.

The dry time won’t last long as more showers and storms are likely to return in the evening. These could be strong to severe with the biggest concerns being strong damaging winds and heavy rain/flooding. Hail and tornado threats are high but can’t be ruled out.
