Do you know this accused bank robber?

LEBANON — Police are asking for assistance in finding a man they believe robbed a Lebanon bank last week.

A lone man walked into the Lebanon Citizens National Bank at 730 Columbus Ave. around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to police.

Newly released video taken from security cameras at the neighboring B. Lewie salon’s parking lot shows the man running west through the lot toward Broadway.

As he runs, a red dye pack inserted into the bandit’s loot explodes and a cloud of red dust envelops him briefly. The man fumbles through the money as he runs to remove the dye pack, which he dropped in the salon’s parking lot and was later recovered by police.

The suspect is described as a white man between the ages of 25 and 30 years old with a goatee. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a grey canvas jacket, tan pants and brown workman shoes and a red knit cap with the Ohio State University logo on it.

The man did not display a weapon during the robbery, police said.
