Madcap Puppets will present “The Cinderella Files” at 7 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Oxford Community Arts Center. The performance is part of the Oxford Community Arts Center Family Performance Series and is free and open to the public.

In Madcap’s twisted take on the classic fairy tale, it’s up to the Fairy Godmother’s husband, Ralph the Fairy Godfather, to get Cinderella to the ball. With help from the audience, giant puppets, and the “big wand,” Ralph might have a chance. In this production, Madcap also explores Cinderella as it is told by the Scandinavians in “Diamonds and Toads,” and the Indonesian version, “The Crocodile’s Baby.”

This performance at OCAC is made possible by a grant through ArtsWave Presents, a program bringing musicians, dancers, actors and artists from Cincinnati’s arts organizations into neighborhoods for public performances.
