Man Lands On Roof After Being Thrown From Car

A man ended up on the roof of a house after being ejected from a car in Greene County early Saturday morning.

The crash happened just outside Jamestown at around 1:30 a.m. at old U.S. 35 and state Route 734 when a car flipped and one of the victims was thrown 50 or 60 feet and landed on the roof of a nearby house, police said.

Crews at the scene of the crash said they have never seen anything like this crash and no one knew how the wreck happened.

“In my 23 years, I’ve never encountered a problem like this at an accident scene,” Silvercreek Township Fire Chief Bob Olwin said.

One victim was taken by ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital and the man who was thrown from the vehicle was taken by careflight to Miami Valley.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.
