Man sentenced for Fairborn home invasion

A Riverside man was sentenced to 12 years in prison today in connection to a home invasion that left a victim with a gunshot wound.

Lance Flowers, 19, pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and felonious assault. In addition to the prison time, he will have to pay more than $2,600 in restitution.

Just before midnight on July 12, police responded to 640 Fairfield Ave. on the report of a robbery and burglary. The victims told police they opened the door and three males forced their way into the residence.

One victim was shot by one of the suspects, police said, and a second victim was struck with the gun. Both victims were treated.

Bradley Jenkins, 19, of Fairborn, was sentenced last month to serve 10 years in prison. Prosecutors have requested that a third suspect, the 17-year-old brother of Lance Flowers, be tried as an adult.
