includes three series of work, each asking the viewer to explore homelessness through the eyes of the individuals for which it is a reality.
Miami Middletown Downtown will be open to host a reception for work by the Guerilla Arts Collaborative, at their facility at 4 N. Main Street from 3-5pm. There will be free warm beverages to take the chill off. Holiday entertainment will be provided by local musician Chuck Evans.
And for those of you who can’t resist the urge to do a bit of pre-holiday shopping, Fair Trade Goods from 10 countries will be for sale at the We Can Business Incubator at 1011 Central Ave, also from 3-5pm. Fair Trade companies give a large percentage of their profits directly to the workers, rescuing artists from poverty & homelessness.
At 5pm, the spotlight will be on the stage Governor’s Square Park on the corner of Central & Broad. Brief performances will be given by Kip Moore & Friends representing the Middletown Lyric Theatre, the Angel/Wesley Choir from the First United Methodist Church, the GATE music class from Middletown Public schools & others.
