Moraine’s city manager has been replaced.

Economic Development Director Michael Davis has been named acting city manager, according to the city’s website.

Bryan Chodkowski’s resignation was the subject of a special Moraine City Council meeting Monday night. He is no longer listed on the city website’s staff directory.

Messages left regarding council’s action were not immediately returned Tuesday morning.

A former city manager of Riverside, Chodkowski’s departure comes about a year after city council approved his hiring as a successor to David Hicks.

Last March the city council approved a a three-year contract for Chodkowski at annual salary of $145,000. He started about June 1.

Chodkowski was the town manager in Enfield, Conn., before succeeding Hicks, who retired after more than four decades with Moraine, including the last 17 years as city manager.

The Englewood native, who had previously served as city manager of Riverside, was selected for the job that drew 44 applicants.
