It is the first race on the schedule that had not been canceled due to the coronavirus.
No spectators will be in the stands, the AP reported.
The season will be condensed with practice, qualifying and the race all being held on the same day. There will also be limited personnel whose health will be screened, according to the AP.
Practice will be held between 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. EDT. The qualifying races will start at 5 p.m EDT with the race getting the green flag at 8:45 p.m. EDT.
Personal protective equipment will also be provided.
The Indianapolis 500 has been postponed until Aug. 23, race officials said.
