"I thought they were going to kill me," she told the Post.
Three men driving by yelled for the group to stop and ran to help Toscano, the Post reported. The men ran after the group but were unable to catch any of them.
Police said Thursday they arrested three people who were involved; Deshaun Harrison, 19, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, the Post reported. Harrison was charged with second-degree robbery, police said.
The suspects live at a group home operated by the city's Administration for Children Services, the Post reported.
Toscano was out of work for two weeks while she recovered from the coronavirus, the Post reported. She was cleared to go back to work at Bellevue Hospital Friday. Her first day back was Sunday. She is not sure if she will return to work after the attack.
“I’m so afraid,” Toscano told the Post.
