Nellie Turner Killer Gets Life In Prison

A killer’s video taped confession to raping and murdering his 80-year-old neighbor was played in court for the first time on Monday.

Now, Geoffrey Hall will be spending the rest of his life behind bars for the crime. The three judge panel also gave Hall 35 years in prison in addition to the life sentence.

Authorities said Hall entered the home of Nellie Turner in 2004 and raped her twice before killing her. They said Turner died of suffocation.

During the course of the investigation, police learned that Hall had been calling Turner’s home just to hear her voice.

Officials said Hall did apologize in court.
