New Caterpillar Center To Bring Jobs

Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland was in Clayton Wednesday morning for the groundbreaking of the new Caterpillar distribution center.

In December, the State Controlling Board announced that is would give the company $400,000, over the next two years, to help purchase machinery equipment for the new facility.

The facility is being built in Clayton’s Commerce Park and construction is expected to be completed in 2011.

The company also said it plans to create 500-600 new jobs with the creation of the new parts distribution facility.
