A body pulled Tuesday from the Great Miami River in Hamilton has been officially identified as Benjamin Gipson, a kayaker who had been missing since Sunday.

Gipson’s death has been ruled accidental as a result of drowning, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
Gipson, 29, of Cincinnati, went missing while kayaking June 10 on the river in Hamilton.
Crews pulled his body from the river Tuesday afternoon after days of searching.
