The hernia center is a branch of Gem City Surgical Associates and located at Good Samaritan North Health Care Center in Englewood.
The center offers area patients a multi-phase approach to the repair of hernias, according to a release.
“Hernia surgery has really evolved over the past 20 years and has become much more complicated – our treatment options have expanded in response to the increased complexity of cases we are handling,” Dr. de Caestecker said. “The repairs we are able to offer patients are unlike others available in this region. Before now, patients would have to travel out of Dayton in order to receive this type of care.”
