New sub shop replaces Quiznos

WASHINGTON TWP., Montgomery County — A new, independently owned restaurant called Horton’s Hoagies has replaced Quiznos at 1512 Miamisburg-Centerville Road.

The new sub shop opened June 1 and is owned by brothers Sam, Dave and Jim Horton. Dave and Sam Horton were previously involved in the management of the Quiznos franchise store that operated for more than 10 years at the site, which is on Ohio 725 at Washington Village Drive east of the Dayton Mall.

Horton’s Hoagies specializes in toasted subs, soups and salads. The sandwich menu includes several prime rib and chicken subs, as well as turkey, meatball and tuna melt subs.

The restaurant employs five in addition to the owners. Catering is available. The restaurant is open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call (937) 436-7849 or check out the Horton’s Hoagies Facebook page.
