North Main Street Businesses Asked To Leave

The Interstate 75 realignment project means that some businesses will be looking for new homes.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said the buildings in the 600 block of North Main Street in Dayton need to leave.

The space is needed to make way for the on- and off-ramps at the Main Street and Grand Avenue entrance. The Chili King Restaurant, Bowman’s Hair Design, Burhill Leasing and the Dayton Wasserstrom Superstore must clear out be September 2006.

The state must contact several other businesses north and south of the Grand Avenue exit. Officials said those businesses do not have to move until 2007.
