Weir chatted online before he set up a time to meet with who he thought was an underage girl for sex. Police said Weir apparently backed-out and did not show up for the meeting, but officers said the crime had already been committed.
Weir has been labeled a sexually oriented offender. He was arrested at his Oakwood home last May. Weir plans to file an appeal.
