A final thought on the recent claim by a former Navy Seal that he killed Osama bin Laden, from Vietnam vet Lee Fisher of Oxford:

“Robert O’Neill’s decision … is a slap in the face to all of those who serve in our Special Operations forces. I have been privileged to know at least a dozen of these individuals who have served in WWII through our current day conflicts. They know that I know the kinds of horror and tragedy that they have faced, yet they asked nothing from me or anyone else for doing what they considered to be their duty. The phrase ‘Duty, Honor, and Country’ is sufficient reward for them.

“O’Neill’s decision to turn his expertise in the fine art of killing into a career in motivational speaking would be a much better testament to his fellow SEALs if he were to announce that his speaking fees were to be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Disabled American Veterans….”
