Permanent Layoffs Announced At Johnson Controls

Permanent layoffs have been announced at Johnson Controls.

The plant in West Carrollton will layoff 130 employees at the end of September. This is the same time that a local General Motors plant will end its second shift production.

Johnson Controls has about 200 workers and makes seats for GM’s sports utility vehicle assembly plant in Moraine.

Workers have said the GM plant in Moraine is their sole customer, and that plant is set to close in 2010 or sooner.
