UPDATE @ 5:47 p.m. (Nov. 13): Stanley Fraley, accused of rape in an assault on a woman he knows, remains jailed on $100,000 bail.

Miami County Common Pleas Judge Jeannine Pratt entered a not guilty plea on Fraley’s behalf Monday. His public defender, Steve Layman, said Nov. 10 that his client, now 62, would stand moot on the charges.

Fraley could be sentenced up to 11 years in prison should he be convicted as charged.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Nov. 21.

INITIAL REPORT (Sept. 27)

Stanley Fraley, 61, of Piqua has been charged by Troy police in an alleged rape case.

Fraley faces a first-degree felony count of rape with force. The alleged victim is an adult woman.

He was booked into Miami County Jail Tuesday afternoon.

Teen’s trial moved to 2018 in Carlisle buried baby case

Fraley was arraigned Wednesday in Miami County Municipal Court where he entered plea of not guilty and bond was set at $100,000 cash.

The judge also ordered a psychiatric evaluation.
