Kettering police are asking for public help identifying a theft suspect who police said stole a wallet last week at a BP gas station on Smithville Road.

In a social media post, police said the suspect came into the gas station’s store on Oct. 17 and took the wallet from the victim’s purse, which was captured on a security camera.

The photos show the suspect wearing a yellow hat, hoodie, camouflage pants and no mask.

Police asked that anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information on the theft should call Kettering police at 937-296-2555, and ask for detective David Marcum.
