Now they’re turning their sights to Springboro, a growing Warren County community.
Jared Petty, Springboro campus pastor, said Fairhaven’s vision is to transform lives and communities by enabling people to worship, serve and experience community in their own neighborhoods.
Petty said services are expected to begin this fall. The church is evaluating sites, including several school locations, for the Springboro campus.
“Fairhaven offers a dynamic and modern worship experience with relevant and biblical teaching,” Petty said. “We’re a multisite church of all age groups with a passion for living a journey of faith and telling the story of God’s redeeming love. Our worship is vibrant, our preaching is practical and our ministries help you to grow closer to Jesus.”
Fairhaven is holding several town hall meetings at their Centerville campus to discuss the vision for the Springboro location. Meetings will be held immediately after the following worship services: 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon Sunday.
“We want to be a community church instead of a commuter church,” said Petty. “We believe having Fairhaven attendees already living in Springboro is a strength, because we want them to invest and connect in their local communities. Anyone is welcome to come and join us at Fairhaven. We recognize everyone is at a different place on that journey of faith, so we emphasize grace and truth by growing in a relationship with Christ.”
Petty is working to translate many of Fairhaven’s existing ministries to Springboro to make sure “people are connected through the week in fellowship.”
The church’s efforts to connect with the Springboro community were visible this Christmas when they partnered with the Springboro Community Assistance Center to provide winter coats, clothes, hygiene products, toys and household items to local families in need.
