Reward offered in arson fire investigation at Enon Beach trailer fire

ENON -- The State Fire Marshal is asking for help from anyone who might have any information about a fire that damaged the trailer of the man who is said to have shot Deputy Suzanne Hopper New Years Day.  The cause of the fire has been ruled arson.

The trailer had been moved from its original location to a storage area at the Enon Beach Recreation Park in Clark County.  Fire investigators say the trailer was extensively damaged by the fire.

The trailer belonged to Michael Ferryman, the suspect in the fatal shooting of Deputy Hopper and the wounding of another officer.  Ferryman was found dead in the trailer after an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement officers that lasted for quite some time.

The fire marshal's office says a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone with information about who may be responsible for the fire.  Anyone with information should call 800-589-2728.
