The semi that crashed on the ramp from northbound I-675 to westbound I-70 is now upright.
The ramp remains closed as of this time, although it appears the ramp could reopen earlier than originally expected.
FIRST REPORT
The ramp from northbound I-675 to westbound I-70 is expected to be closed through the morning commute after a semi crashed and rolled over on the ramp.
Authorities said the driver was going too fast on the ramp, causing the semi to flip onto its side. The crash happened around 3 a.m.
The driver was trapped and extricated from the semi, which was hauling groceries, around 3:40 a.m. CareFlight was originally placed on standby as a precaution, but was canceled. The driver was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries not believed to be serious.
The driver will likely be cited for failure to control.
The suggested detour is to take Route 444 into Fairborn, take Route 235 onto Route 4, and then get on Interstate 70
