Dayton native one of most ‘chic’ members of Congress

Dayton-born congresswoman among most ‘chic’

A blog about style in politics – yes, there are blogs on such topics – has deemed Rep. Joyce Beatty among the most “chic” of female lawmakers.

Beatty, D-Jefferson Township, who was born in Dayton, is highlighted on "The Chic incumbent," in its second annual list of the "top 10 chic ladies of the House and Senate," joining the likes of Sens. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and Reps. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., and Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii.

But the blog itself wasn’t limited to Washington, D.C. politicians: Among those to make the list was state Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Texas, whose legislative base is thousands of miles from the beltway.

But still. It’s a best-dressed list! Don’t overthink it! And Beatty was happy to be listed.
