Kasich talks about campaign, immigration, Syria on CBS This Morning

Ohio Gov. John Kasich was on CBS This Morning with Charlie Rose and talked about his presidential campaign, immigration, Russia’s action in Syria and other topics.

Kasich said deporting millions of immigrants like some GOP presidential candidates have proposed is “not practical.”

How are gonna get them? Are we gonna ship them to the border and yell ‘Get out of our country?’” Kasich said.

Like he’s said in previous interviews, including one on CNN with Wolf Blitzer earlier this week, Kasich also called for the U.S. to establish a no-fly zone in Syria.

“You come into that no-fly zone, you will suffer the consequences,” Kasich said.

A new NBC/Washington Post poll has Kasich down from second in New Hampshire to seventh, but he is not sounding alarms that his campaign is in trouble.

“We’re building the base to be able to be sustaining victory,” Kasich said.
