Conditions eligible for medical marijuana: AIDS, ALS, Alzheimer's, cancer, chronic pain, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, Crohn's disease, epilepsy or other seizure disorder, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, hepatitis C, inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, PTSD, spinal cord conditions, Tourette's syndrome, traumatic brain injury and sickle cell anemia.
Who will regulate it? State Board of Pharmacy - license and oversee dispensaries, drug packaging and paraphernalia.
State Medical Board - certify doctors who recommend marijuana and add new qualifying conditions.
Ohio Department of Commerce - regulate growers, processors, testing labs and manage the seed to sale tracking system.
Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee - 13-members appointed by the governor and Legislature to make program recommendations.
How can you use it?: oils, tinctures, plant materials, edibles, patches and vapors will be allowed but smoking is prohibited, unless it is authorized by the Board of Pharmacy.
Can I grow it at home?: No home grow allowed; patients may possess up to a 90-day supply.
Can I lose my job if I use it?: Employees can be fired for just cause if their use of medical marijuana violated the drug-free workplace policy.
