Officials said the strong winds caused the roof of a business to collapse, forcing workers to bring in a bulldozer to clean up the damage.
Officials said the roof of the local Motel 6 was ripped right off and thrown to the ground yards away. Meanwhile, a woman eating dinner with her family nearby watched the powerful storms move through, creating extensive damage.
The storm also caused numerous power outages in the Lima area. Utility crews worked throughout the night to try and restore as much power as possible.

Also in Lima, investigators said part of Interstate 75 was shut down after gusty winds knocked a semi onto its side.
In Piqua, cleanup continues Friday following a mi da fternoon storm on Thursday, playing havoc mainly with trees. The distinctive sounds of chainsaws continue to echo the residential streets, while city crews clean away curbside piles of tree branches.
One woman and her three brothers gathered some firewood for the winter from Fountain Park in Piqua, across the street from her home.
Officials said most of the damage was confined to the trees, a parked car or two and a few homes.
