Student Charged With Threatening Columbine-Style Shooting

A Fairborn teenager was arrested and charged with threatening to carry out a Columbine-style attack at Fairborn High School.

William Talbott, 18, was taken into custody on Tuesday, but police said the alleged threat was to be carried out on Wednesday.

Talbott is a senior. Police said the teen told students at school and on the bus Tuesday that he planned to carry out a Columbine-style shooting on Wednesday.

Police went to Talbott’s home and Tuesday night and found no weapons. He was taken into custody and charged with inducing panic.

The teen is being held in the Fairborn Jail.

On Wednesday, Talbott appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
