Susan G Komen Race for the Cure (KFC Pink Buckets) - April 18, 2010

This episode of WHIO Reports will focus on the fight against breast cancer. The Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure raises money in the fight and research in breast cancer. KFC Restaurants are also helping to raise money this month. For the first time ever KFC has changed their buckets from red to pink. For every bucket sold KFC will donate 50 cents to the Komen Race For The Cure Foundation. The bucket is pink and features the names of survivors of breast cancer. Customers can also just purchase an empty bucket for a dollar and KFC will donate 50 cents. The restaurants hope to raise more than $8 million for the foundation which would be their largest donation in history. The money raised will go toward research and local programs that promote breast health.
