Carr was indicted after he was allegedly involved in a bar shooting at LEOS bar located on Salem Avenue in Trotwood, that seriously injured three people. Two of the three had multiple gunshot wounds.
Through investigative leads developed by the Southern District of Ohio Fugitive Strike team (SOFAST) Carr was tracked the Still Water Apartment Complex in Harrison Township and arrested without incident.
At approximately 6:20 a.m. Monday deputies from the SOFAST team arrived at the apartment complex expecting to surprise Carr. However, Carr refused to open the door.
Only when the deputy marshals and task force officers began to force entry did Carr comply and opened up the door, surrendering to the task force.
The SOFAST Team recovered two loaded semiautomatic hand guns in the apartment. It has not yet been determined if either of the two guns were used in the July 18th shooting.
According to Marshal Wahlrab additional federal charges may be pursued.
Marshal Wahlrab stated as he has in the past “The apprehension of persons wanted for shooting innocent people is a priority for the task force and anyone wanted for this type of a violation will become a priority for our arrest teams.”
Garst is being held in the Clark County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
