Suspect Shot During Attempted Robbery Dies

Police in Wayne County, Indiana, said a man who was shot by officers during an attempted robbery of a pharmacy has died.

Arnold Potter, 22, was shot and killed Friday night after police said he pointed a gun at a pharmacist in Cambridge City and wanted prescription drugs.

The Wayne County coroner said Potter was shot seven times. Authorities are waiting on toxicology tests to determine if Potter had any drugs in his system when he was shot.

Officers Bruce Moles and Travis Willhite are both on administrative leave during the investigation, which is normal.

However, with the two officers on administrative leave, city officials said only three officers are left to cover the city, and they will need to get help from other nearby agencies.
