The Taco Tuesday visit to El Grecos’ was set in motion after running into two of my husband’s former Meadowdale High School classmates at the grocery store.
The women were heading to the restaurant and couldn’t stop talking about its tacos.
Apparently they became super-fans in high school and still go there as much as possible.
A pretty nice endorsement.
We were sold.
I’ve rarely met a taco I didn’t like and the ones from El Grecos’ didn’t disappoint.
The restaurant isn’t bashful about its tacos either. They proclaim them the “best in town.”
Normally, tacos are three for $5, but this is Taco Tuesday and not just another run-of-the-mill weekday.
El Grecos’ tacos are $99 cents each on Tuesdays with the purchase of a drink or another food item.
The family-owned business has been around 48 years, according to the bartender that delivered our tacos.
The is red carpet on the wall, but the frills are to a minimum.
Eat one taco and you’ll want another and at least one other one.
The ground beef taco is topped with provolone cheese, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and onions. It was great with the restaurant’s slight spicy salsa.
The tacos are not the only tasty treats at the restaurant.
There’s Greek grub, submarine sandwiches, salads and pizzas.
We also split a small square-cut deluxe pizza ( mushrooms, onion, sausage and pepperoni) a try.
Good stuff.
